Hi, I’m Betty

I’m a certified Integrative Health Practitioner and Nutrition Coach.  And a busy wife and mother to 4 grown boys.

My entire childhood thru young adulthood, I’ve had GI issues. As an adult, I was diagnosed with IBS and told to avoid the foods that bothers me, which was pretty much everything.

In my 20’s and 30’s I was also a competitive martial artist and learned a lot about exercise physiology and the mind body connection to health.   Although I was strong and fit on the outside, I was still having to alter my life because of my GI issues. All the while my primary care doctors were unable to give me advice that had any long-term impacts.

It wasn’t until a friend of mine suggested that the bugs in my gut were to blame and suggested that I start taking a daily nutritional shake and probiotics. Although I was very skeptical, I did it. After one month, my IBS started to improve and I have been on the patch of discovery ever since.   

Over the past 20 years I completely changed how I look at food and all the other lifestyle habits that impact my health and that of my family. I have learned how my body processes glucose is paramount to generating clean energy. Breaking my addictions to highly addictive, sugar laden foods have had the biggest most consequential impact on my overall health and that of my family.

Getting certified an an Integrative Health Practitioner helped me take my passion for wellbeing to the next level. Helping people get to the root cause of their issues is my goal. I have always been in love with cooking so creating meals that are both nutritious and satisfying is one of my passions.  That is why all my plans come with meal plans and recipes to help anyone create satisfying and healthful meals for everyone in the family but most of all, to help busy people just like you thrive not just survive.
