Most store bought granola is loaded with sugar and seed oils. This homemade version is clean and blood sugar friendly
Ingredients
- 4-5 C Raw Nuts. I use a mix of pecans, walnuts, almonds, macadamia, and cashews. Basically, whatever I have in the house.
- 1/2 - 3/4 C Raw Seeds. Pumpkin, Sunflower, Flax, hemp
- ½ C Coconut Flakes (unsweetened)
- 1/4 C Coconut Oil, melted
- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla
- 2-3 tsp of your favorite spices. I use cinnamon and cardamom. You can use ginger, pumpkin pie spice or none at all. Whatever and how much is up to you.
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Spread onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes then stir. Bake for another 10 minutes until the granola is slightly brown. Be careful not to burn. Cool completely then store in an airtight container. Will keep for a week.
